Delia Agúndez (Soprano)

Born: Cáceres, Spain.

The Spanish soprano, Delia Agúndez, took a higher diploma in Singing with brilliant results at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona under the tutelage of the soprano Carmen Bustamante. She holds a Masterīs having attended masterclasses and courses with musicians such as Gabriel Garrido, Peter Phillips, Eduardo López Banzo, Maria Cristina Kiehr, Rosa Domínguez, Richard Levitt, Gerd Türk or Carlos Mena. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (hons) in History and Music Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Universidad de Extremadura (2007-2012). She also has Music Business Diploma from SAE Institute (2015-2016), and Music Business Degree from Middlesex University (2015-2017).

Her solid musical career, which encompasses a wide variety of music, from the Middle Ages to the latest avant-garde, has taken her all over Europe, South America and Asia. She has performed as a soprano soloist several oratories and masses with orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE, Orchestra of Cadaqués, the Región de Murcia Symphonic Orchestra, Catalana Baroque Orchestra, Extremadura Orchestra or La Capilla Real de Madrid (Director: Óscar Gershensohn). She has worked under many reknowned conductors including Matthias Bamert, Ivor Bolton, Michel Corboz, Sir Colin Davis, Gabriel Garrido, Jan Michael Horstmann, Carlos Kalmar, Václav Luks, Antoni Ros Marbà, Juanjo Mena, Víctor Pablo Pérez, or Raphaël Pichon.

Delia Agúndez has also works with ensembles such as Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), Collegium 1704 (Director: Václav Luks), Capella de Ministrers, Música Ficta & Ensemble Fontegara, Cinco Siglos, La Bellemont, Ensemble des Rencontres Baroques, La Capilla Real de Madrid, Ímpetus Ensemble or Capilla Jerónimo de Carrión at Early Music Festivals such as Utrecht, La Chaise-Dieu, Ambronay, Saint-Denis, Royaumont, Thüringer Bachwochen, Bogotá or Bucarest.

Delia Agúndez has successfully played operas roles such as Belinda in Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, Galatea in George Frideric Handel's Acis & Galatea, Madame Silberklang in W.A. Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor, Laurette in Georges Bizet's Le Docteur Miracle or the main role in the world premiere of Wolf Vostellīs Opera-Fluxus Der Garten der Lüste.

Delia Agúndez won the National INJUVE award for the Best Classical Music Performance, in recognition of her first album, Voleras, entre seguidilla y bolera (Itinerant Classics), with Early XIXth Spanish Music for voice and guitar. She also won the Best Musical Ambassador in 2012 in the 5th Extremadura Music Awards (Spain).

Delia Agúndez has also sung with Capella de Ministrersin in Valencia and elsewhere (since October 2014, "El Greco" tour. Concerts in Spain and USA); Regina Iberica in Madrid (since January 2015); Gradualia in Madrid (since December 2014); Aquel Trovar in Córdoba (since October 2016). Since January 2016, she also works as freelance Media Marketing Expert.
