Joke Anjewierden (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: 1963 (?) - the Netherlands
Died: September 29, 2012 - Zaltbommel, the Netherlands

The Dutch mezzo-soprano, Joke Anjewierden, was a member of the core group of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Director: Jos van Veldhoven) for several years. She had for many years a private singing school in Zaltbommel. She was also much-demanded in the region as a soloist in performances, including with the Zaltbommels Kamerkoor. She was also the conductor of choirs, such as the Lutherse Cantorij and Shantykoor Loopend Thuygh. In Zaltbommel she was one of the founders of Vocale Theaterprojecten, which realized W.A. Mozart' Die Zauberflöte.
