Berliner Kantorei (Chamber Choir)

Founded: Berlin, Germany

The Berliner Kantorei was founded over 30 years ago under the leadership of various Kantors at the Evangelischen Grunewaldgemeinde (Grunewald Protestant Church) in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, including Heinrich Poos, Ulrich Bremsteller, Wolfgang Helbich, Cornelius Schneider-Pungs and Uwe Gronostay. Since 1990, Günter Brick directs the Berliner Kantorei, and in 1993 joined them with two performances of the Mozart Requiem for the first time back under the previous name.
