Diego Schuck Biasibetto (Conductor, Cello)

Born: January 5, 1982 - Caxias do Sul, Brazil

The Brazilian conductor, cellist and music pedagogue, Diego Schuck Biasibetti, studied at the Colégio São Carlos Caxias do Sul (class of 1999). He graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Porto Alegre in Choral Conducting with Professor Dr. Bohrer Joceley (2007), the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany in Baroque cello with Professor Viola de Hoog and in viola da gamba with Professor Hille Perl (2010), and completed his cello training with Alexander Diel in Porto Alegre. He also participated in several master-classes with renowned musicians such as Anatoli Krastev (Bulgaria), Mime Yamahiro (Japan) , Gaetano Nasillo (Italy), among others

Diego Schuck Biasibetti was Professor of cello at the Escola de Música da OSUCS, conductor of the Orquestra de Alunos da Escola de Música da OSUCS, cellist of the Orquestra Sinfônica da UCS and Orquestra PUCRS. In March 2009, he participated in the production of the opera La Didone by Francesco Cavalli playing viola da gamba and violone , and in January 2010, with the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble in the opera 's production of L' Incoronazione di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Austria, playing violone under the musical direction of Christoph Molds. He was also from 2008 to 2009 Professor of cello and conductor of the Youth Orchestra in Kreismusikschule Diepholz - Germany. His career in Europe is marked as conductor of the Choir Da Capo in the town of Syke, participation in groups like Alsfelder Vokalensemble, Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble, Kammer Sinfonie Bremen, Bremer Barock Consort, Collegio Novantanove, and founding member of groups like Bremerey Consort and Dario's Revenge. He is currently (as of 2011) cellist in the Orquestra Unisinos and Orquestra Sinfônica da UCS. He is married to Daiane Biasibetti and currecntly lives in Porto Alegre.
