Cécile Bogaerts (Harpsichord)

Born: The Netherlands

The Dutch harpsichordist, Cécile Bogaerts, is a graduate of the Conservatory of Tilburg and Alkmaar, where she was taught by Jaap Spigt. She also studied in Antwerp with Jos van Immerseel and took courses in harpsichord with Kenneth Gilbert. Currently, she taught Tijn van Eijk in Breda.

Besides her teaching she plays in several ensembles, including the Aulos Consort (a double reed ensemble) and regularly the basso continuo part for major chamber orchestras and oratorio societies in Holland and abroad. The harpsichord she plays was built in 1978 by Joop Meijer in Tilburg.
