Christine Bohnenkamp (Soprano)

Born: Germany

The German soprano, Christine Bohnenkamp, studied violin in Lübeck, Vocal Pedagogy in Mannheim and Münster, and graduated from the opera school in Detmold.

As a soloist Christine Bohnenkamp perfoms German Lieder, opera, oratorio and contemporary music. She was a founding member of the Vokal Quintet Berlin, and second soprano until 2012. Currently, she is a member of the Vocalconsort Berlin. As a freelance singer she sings with the RIAS-Kammerchor Berlin and the Nederlandse Bachvereniging.

Christine Bohnenkamp teaches Voice at the Bielefeld University and is a lecturer at the Landesmusikakademie North Rhine-Westphalia. She is staff member for Violin and Voice of the Nienberge music school in Münster and works as a vocal coach at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik. She also offers a tutorial called SMS - Singing Makes Sense at the Academy of Music Detmold.
