Jörg Bräunig (Choral Conductor, Organ)

Born: 1969 - Olbernhau/Erzgebirge, Germany

The German choral conductor, Jörg Bräunig, began in 1988 his studies of church music at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden, finished them in 1992 with B degree. This was followed by a 3-year Master's degree, A - church music, at the Hochschulen für Kirchenmusik in Heidelberg and Halle (Saale).

Since 1995 Jörg Bräunig has been Kantor and organist at the St. Laurentiuskirche Auerbach/Vogtl. and since 1999 he is Church Music Director (KMD) for the church district Auerbach/Vogtl.

Jörg Bräunig is particularly interested in the issues of historical performance practice and, hence, for collaboration with early music ensembles.
