André Eckert (Bass)

Born: Dresden , Saxony, Germany

The Herman bass, André Eckert, was a member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor and studied at the Musikhochschule Dresden. He was a winner of the International Dvorak Competition.

In 1987, André Eckert became a member of the Opera Studio, and then the soloist ensemble at the Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden. Since 2000 he has guest engagement with with the Staatsoper Dresden. Guest engagements have led him, inter alia, to appearances at the Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Niedersächsische Staatsoper Hannover, Oper Leipzig, Opera de Montpellier, Chalet in Paris and Hong Kong with the Stuttgarter Oper, Teatro Lirico Triest, Israeli Opera Tel Aviv. He also has an extensive concert repertoire .
