Alfred Ellenberger (Conductor)

Died: 1972 (?) - Thuns, Switzerland

Alfred Ellenberger was a Swiss conductor and teacher. He was Music Director of the Orchesterverein Thun (today Thuner Stadtorchester or Stadtorchester Thun) from the late 1940’s to the early 1970’s, suceeding August Oetiker. He was succeed by François Pantillon. Ellenberger also worked as a music teacher at the Lehrerinnenseminar and at the Gymnasium in Thun. All of his students received instruction in the introductions to the subscription concerts.
