Miriam Feuersinger (Soprano)

Born: May 16, 1978 - Bregenz, Austria

The Austrian soprano, Miriam Feuersinger, started her professional studies at the State Conservatory of Music in Feldkirch (Austria), going on to pursue her studies in the class of Professor Kurt Widmer at the Basel Music Academy, where she received her diploma with honours in 2005.

Miriam Feuersinger's clear preference goes to the works of J.S. Bach and sacred music (Baroque and classical) as strong points of her repertory. She has appeared with renowned musicians such as Andrew Parrott, Rudolf Lutz and Alois Koch as well as with various Baroque ensembles like Capriccio Basel, La Cetra and Les Cornets Noirs. She regularly participates in performances of Bach cantatas in Basel's Predigerkirche and at the Trogen Bach Fondation. She has been invited to sing at the Schwarzenberg Schubertiade,Aschaffenburger Bachtage, Tage alter Musik in Herne - Herne Festival of Historic Music and the Festival of Händel in Göttingen, as well as at the Lucerne Festival.

Among her pupils: Lea Elisabeth Müller (Mezzo-soprano).
