Peter Frank (Baritone)

Born: 1963 - Hannover, Germany

The German baritone, Peter Frank, belonged to the Knabenchor Hannover between 1973 and 1979. On leaving school he studied at the Hannover College of Music and Drama, graduating in school music and vocal teaching and gaining his opera diploma. He was awarded the scholarship of the Richard-Wagner-Verband in 1989.

From 1988 onwards Peter Frank appeared as a guest singer at the Oldenburg State Theatre (as Papageno among others) and at the Brandenburg Theatre (as Figaro Count). Since 1993 he has had an engagement at the Brandenburg Theatre as a lyrical baritone.

Peter Frank also enjoys a full programme of concert performances at home and abroad (including the Händel Festival in Göttingen in 1993 and stage presentation of Monteverdi madrigals in Hannover and has been in the cast of radio productions (cantatas, oratorios, Lieder, operetta, musical) and CD recordings (including Antonio Caldara's Stabat Mater, EMI Classics).
