Frank Fritschy (Tenor)

Born: The Netherlands

The Dutch tenor, Frank Fritschy, studied solo singing at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, and followed that with studied at the Opera Studio in Maastricht. In London he received private lessons from Thomas Hemsley.

After finishing his studies Frank Fritschy has become a demanded oratorio singer all over Holland. In 1985 he made his debut in South America in J.S. Bach’s Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244). He has also appeared on various international stages, including Athens, Barcelona, Moscow en Paris. As a soloist he has worked with various ensembles, such as: De Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Nederlands Blazersensemble, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Deutsche Bachsolisten. He has sung under the baton of conductors as Jos van Immerseel, Reinbert de Leeuw and Jos van Veldhoven.

Since 1995 Frank Fritschy is a lecturer at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem.
