The Canadian soprano, Rebecca Genge, studied at Oak Bay Secondary School in Victoria, British Columbia. In spring 2016, she completed her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, where she was the recipient of the Douglas Bodle - St. Andrew’s Graduating Award. As a member of the University of Toronto’s Schola Cantorum, Toronto, she has performed with Emma Kirkby, The Tallis Scholars (Director: Peter Phillips), and the Gabrieli Consort (Director: Paul McCreesh). In September 2017, she will begin her Masters of Music in Historical Performance at the University of Toronto. Her primary vocal professor is Daniel Taylor.
Rebecca Genge has also participated in recording projects for Analekta with the Theatre of Early Music and Schola Cantorum, Toronto (Director of both: Daniel Taylor), including the Juno nominated disk ‘The Heart’s Refuge’. She currently lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
