Antje Günther (Contralto)

Born: 1978 - Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

The German contralto, Antje Günther, studied singing in the fields of theater music and early music, first at the Musiktheater und Alte Musik in Leipzig with Hermann Christian Polster and Wolfgang Treutler, then at the Hochschule für Musik Köln, Department Wuppertal with Wolfgang Treutler. In 2002 she graduated with the artistic and music education degree and in 2004 she received a degree in general music education.

Antje Günther is a member of the Sächsischen Vocalensemble Dresden, and she has participated in several radio and CD productions. She has given numerous concerts in the Lieder, oratorio and contemporary music fields..
