Christiane Hasselmeier (Harpsichord)

Born: Stuttgart, Germany

The German harpsichordist, Christiane Hasselmeier, rechad received a thorough pianistic training, before she decided to devote herself to the harpsichord, and studied historical performance practice with Stanislav Heller at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg. Further studies followed in Zürich with Johann Sonnleitner and in The Hague with Ton Koopman.

Christiane Hasselmeier performs as a soloist and has also made herself a name as a continuo player with various ensembles, such as the Ensemble Caprice Stuttgart. With Martin Tiemann she formed in 1997 the Stuttgarter Cembalo Duo.
