Born: Graubünden Canton, Switzerland

The Swiss mezzo-soprano, Stefania Huonder, studied in Bern (teacher diploma) and Lucerne (concert diploma with distinction) with Margrit Conrad-Amberg. As a double winner of the Migros-scholarship she visited Graz in the Lied class of Ira Malaniuk. Awards of the Canton of Graubünden and others allowed her studies in Amsterdam with Margreet Honig.

She has also been involved in several premieres of works by contemporary composers, and radio and television recordings. In May 2006 she sang on the 500th Anniversary of the Swiss Guard in Rome.
