Tobias Kielinger (Bass, Choral Conductor)

Born: 1966 - Germany

The German bass and choral conductor, Tobias Kielinger, begaian to study piano in 1982. From 1983 to 1885 he studied privately music theory and conducting with Kreso Pascuttini (Kapellmeister at Ulmer Theater). In 1987 he won 2nd prize at the Baden-Württemberg Singing Competition (VDMK), and was finalist at the National Competition. From 1991 to 1995 he studied singing at the Musikhochschule in Cologne with Professor Dietger Jacob and Professor Hans Sotin. He also attended master-classes with Professor Kurt Widmer (Wörgl) and Professor Jacob Dietger (Sommerakademie Mozarteum, Salzburg).

Tobias Kielinger has given many concerts at home and abroad. In 1993 he recorded J.S. Bach’s Coffee Cantata BWV 211 for Human Rights (Ai and Unesco).

From 1995 to 1997 Tobias Kielinger studied fine art at the Kunstakademie Münster with Professor Timm Ulrichs. From 1997 to 2000 he studied fine art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Professor Klaus Rinke and Professor Gerhard Merz In 1997-2000 he worked on the Projekt 2000 die Pilgerschaft. In 1997 he worked on the development of the philosophy of active mythology. Since 2000 the center of his life and work is Berlin. Since 2006 he works in collaboration with the Chor Die Sonntagssänger.
