The German tenor, Tilmann Kögel, was a singer in the Windsbacher Knabenchor, and thereafter began his studies at the joined Studies at the Musikhochschule in Saarbrücken and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
In addition to participating in many ensembles, such as Collegium Vocale Gent under Philippe Herreweghe, Rheinische Kantorei under Hermann Max, Studium Chorale under Hans Lenders, Ad mosam under Huub Ehlen, Amsterdam Baroque Choir under Ton Koopman, Anima Eterna Brugge under Jos van Immerseel, and Balthasar-Neumann-Chor under Thomas Hengelbrock, Tilmann Kögel sang in concerts under the direction of Fritz Dietrich in Frankfurt am Main, the tenor parts in the works of J.S. Bach.
