Maarten Kooy (Kooij) (Conductor, Organ)

Born: May 19, 1927 - Haarlem, the Netherlands

Maarten Kooy was organist-cantor at Oude Kerk in Soest from 1950 to 1971. Later he was the cantor of Utrecht Cathedral, and for a long time gave weekly concerts there with his choir, Domcantorij Utrecht. He married Ine Vollaard on February 1, 1950. His son is the bass singer Peter Kooy.
