Gerda Kosbahn (Soprano)

Born: Miesbach, Upper, Bavaria, Germany

The German soprano, Gerda Kosbahn, studied singing at the Conservatory in Munich. When she won the competition of the Concert of Young Artists in Hannover, she gained a contract with the Lower Saxony State Opera in Hannover.

Within a short time Gerda Kosbahn won a high reputation also as a concert and oratorio singer. Her excellent interpretations of contemporary works are generally acclaimed.
