Leipzig Bläser-Collegium (Brass Ensemble)

Founded: Leipzig, Germany

Leipzig Bläser-Collegium (= LBC) historically constitutes with cornets and trombones and reviving the great tradition of Leipzig City Pipers’ Guild directed in the 17th and 18th centuries by Johann Christoph Pezel and Gottfried Reiche, the trumpeter prized by J.S. Bach. When the need rises, the Leipzig Bläser-Collegium is called to reinforce the Pauliner Barockensemble.
