Sabrina Lanzi (Piano)

Born: Italy

The Italian pianist, Sabrina Lanzi, studied at the Milan Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi“ under Maria Madini Moretti in Italy. After her diploma she continued her studies at the Academy of Music in Munich, Germany, under Professor Hoffmann and took classes with Friedrich Gulda in Austria.

Following quickly were invitations to perform at many of the most prestigious concert halls throughout Italy and Europe. Here are some concert halls where she has performed: Kulturhalle in Bregenz, the Conservatory of Bern, the Sala Verdi in Milan, the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, the Sale Ateneu in Bacau, the Piccolo Regio and Circolo della Stampa in Turin, Polincontri Classica, the Konzerthaus Freiburg, the Teatro Alfieri of Asti, Teatro Civico La Spezia, Primo Riccitelli Teramo, Mozartfest-Badkrozingen, and in many other in Germany, England, Romenia, France, Russia and Croatia. From 1998 she has recorded with CBC Radio & Television in Canada, which has also invited her to present several recitals. She was also invited to perform at the Cappella Paolina of the Quirinale's concert on Radio Rai 3.

In view of her superb piano technique and her highly virtuosic interpretations Sabrina Lanzi has received many enthusiastic compliments from internationally recognised musicians. They have described her performances as being brilliant and original presentations of the romantic and post-romantic repertoire.

Complementing her large solo repertoire Sabrina Lanzi has giving numerous concerto performances with the following orchestras: Archi della Scala, Conservatory of Bern Orchestra, Simphony Orchestra of Arad, United Europe Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Grosseto, Symphony Orchestra of the State of Udmurtia, State Orchestra Mihail Jora of Bacau, Symphony Orchestra of Freiburg, Symphony Orchestra of Leipzig, Symphonietta of Munchen, Camerata Academica Freiburg, Kiev Chamber Orchestra, "Musici di Parma", Metropolitan Sinfonia of London, Münchner Symphoniker and various other orchestras throughout Italy, Europe and the USA). In April 2008 she performed as soloist with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig at the “Grosser Saal” of the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. She has performed under the direction of many internationally recognized conductors including Ovidiu Balan, Valentin Doni, Dorin Frandes, Simon Gaudenz, Leonardo Quadrini, Horst Foerster, Tommy Harrington, Hartmut Zobeley, Manuel Nawri, Nicolai Rogotnev, Bernhard Koch, Paolo Ferrara, Enrico Bronzi, Stefano Pagliani,.....

Sabrina Lanzi's performances of Sergei Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18 and Johannes BrahmsPiano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 82 have gained widespread critical acclaim and has led to engagements from numerous foreign musical institutions throughout Europe and the USA. She is also active in various collaborations with the Trio Scaligero of Teatro alla Scala.

Due to the widespread accliam of Sabrina Lanzi's performances of the late romantic repertoire, she will be performing the complete S. Rachmaninov piano concertos including the his Theme on Paganini concerto Op.43.
