Manuela Mach (Contralto)

Born: Germany

The German contralto, Manuela Mach, studied at the Musischen Labenwolf Gymnasium in Nürnberg. Following the exams, she studied singing at the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt/Main with Professor Elsa Cavelti and Professor Rotraud Hansmann, Lieder singing with Professor Rainer Hoffmann, and early music with Professor Michael Schneider. She won prizes at federal competitions of the VDMK in Bayreuth, Frankfurt and Berlin. She was scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. She has also taken part in master-classes with Professor Hartmut Höll, Mitsuko Shirai, Helen Watts, Julia Hamari, Professor Horst Günter, Professor Helmuth Rilling and Anna Reynolds.

Since finishing studies, Manuela Mach works as free-lance concert and Lieder singer in her homeland and abroad, as well as a teacher for singing and breath.
