The Dutch contralto, Clara Mesdag, studied singing at the Stedelijk Conservatorium Arnhem with Aafje Heynis and Wout Oosterkamp (1978-2004). Then she stidied with with Jelle Draijer. Today she is oached by Ronald Klekamp. She also attended workshops on the breath with Paul Triepels.
Over 10 years Clara Mesdag has sung with the Nederlands Kamerkoor. In addition, as a soloist in J.S. Bach's cantatas and choral concerts. Today, she no longer takes action, but she sings and I teaches.
Clara Mesdag worked as a singing teacher at Stedelijke muziekschool Arnhem (1986-1990); senior vocal lecturer at Koorenhuis, Centrum voor Kunst en Cultuur (August 2006-September 2011); singing teacher at her own studio (since September 2011); and again as coordinatotor/project manager at Koorenhuis, Centrum voor Kunst en Cultuur (since July 2013) |
