Ulla Munch (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Denmark

The Danish lyric mezzo-soprano, Ulla Munch, has a degree in music from the University of Copenhagen and a degree in voice and singing from the Conservatories in Odense.

During her career as a classical singer, Ulla Munch has worked many years as a free-lance singer, doing opera at Den Fynske opera - Rossini and George Frideric Handel. Her favourite solo parts as an oratorio singer are G.F. Handel’s Messiah, W.A. Mozart's Requiem and a large number of J.S. Bach's cantatas and masses with Enghave Barokorkester & Vokalensemble. As a chamber musician she has specialised in Renaissance and Baroque music, Monteverdi, Heinrich Schütz, François Couperin, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. From 2007 she is full time member of The DR Vocalensemble.

Through her career Ulla Munch has gained a considerable experience in voice – and performance coaching.
