Under the artistic direction of the cellist Louise Audubert, the singers and instrumentalists of Ensemble Les Muses Galantes, which was founded over 10 years ago, pass through varied and original programmes, their passion for the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Drawn largely from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, the core musicians, give their personal approach for historic repertoire and research on the period practice, to make the music called "early" music of our time. Meticulous work on the texture, articulation and phrasing voices like old instruments so that s a rich repertoire preserveliving character.
Collective variable sizes, in chamber or orchestral formastions, Ensemble Les Muses Galantes is the guest of various festivals and cultural institutions in repertoire primarily focuses on the works of J.S. Bach and his contemporaries. It is also the partner of many vocal ensembles. Since 2010, "La Cantate des Muses" offers Baroque music concerts set around a cantata of J.S. Bach one Saturday a month at 17:00 from September to June at the Église des Billettes (Paris 4e). |
