New Trinity Baroque (Baroque Ensemble)

Founded: 1998 - London, England
Relocated: Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Hailed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as "one of Atlanta's most prized ensembles" New Trinity Baroque (= NTB) is recognized as one of USA's leading Baroque orchestras and early music ensembles. Founded in London in 1998, the group was initially established as an ensemble of international musicians, and since then it continues to maintain this presence through working closely with both USA and international artists. Founded and directed by the young conductor and harpsichordist, Predrag Gosta, New Trinity Baroque's home is in Atlanta, where it continues its mission by presenting over 25 concerts and educational events each season.

Working under the patronage of the international early music society, Early Music Network, the ensemble’s members perform on period instruments, specializing in music of the 17th and 18th centuries. The group's performances range from chamber to orchestral, from cantatas to operas. With frequent guest soloists of an international reputation, New Trinity Baroque presented its concerts in many cities throughout the USA and Europe, including Atlanta, New York, Boston, London and Belgrade.

New Trinity Baroque's efforts in education are constantly praised and recognized, as the ensemble presents a number of exciting concert-lectures at major universities. They are the Affiliate Ensemble at Georgia State University's School of Music since 2003, and Ensemble-in-Residence at Oxford College of Emory University since 2004. They are also Ensemble-in-Residence at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta, which is their main performing venue.

Collaborating regularly with well-renowned names in early music world, last year New Trinity Baroque has worked closely with John Holloway, one of the world's most renowned Baroque violinists. John Holloway's appointment has been received with awe and admiration by the Atlanta community. During the 2005-2006 season, New Trinity Baroque was jointly led by John Holloway as Music Director, and Predrag Gosta as Artistic Director. NTB's practice to collaborate with the most renowned names continues, as New Trinity Baroque constantly explores opportunities how to make its programs and its sound exciting.
