Jörg Nitschke (Tenor)

Born: 1969 - Germany

The German tenor, Jörg Nitschke, studied church music at the MHS Dortmund. Later, he began his singing studies with Christine Alexander, Gelsenkirchen and Professor Berthold Schmid at the Dortmunder Musikhochschule and participated in master-classes with Christoph Prégardien. He was a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes.

Jörg Nitschke has worked with major orchestras under conductors such as Frieder Bernius, Hermann Max and Ralf Otto and has participated in a large number of outstanding festivals, such as the Leipziger Bachfest, den Göttinger Händelfestspielen und den Tagen alter Musik Stuttgart. Numerous radio, records and television productions and concert tours through Europe, North America and Canada complete his artistic activity. A tour in the spring of 2005 brought him through all the major concert halls in Japan.
