Esther Putter (Soprano)

Born: The Netherlands

The Dutch soprano, Esther Putter, obtained in 1999 the diploma classical singing, performing musician. At the time of graduation, she was already amply working in concert practice. She sang in professional ensembles as Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe), Cappella Amsterdam and Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Director: Jos van Veldhoven). Since graduating with Meinard Kraak, she studied with include Geert Berghs, Brigitte Fassbaender, Nicolai Cok (Belcanto School) and Giacchino Zarrelli, among others. Niels Kuijers deepens her singing currently in the Lichtenberg method. In preparation for opera roles she is assisted by Pieter van den Berg.

Through her constant vocal and artistic growth was a solo career more obvious. She has been regularly as a soloist in oratorio, opera and musical theater. Her voice is characterized by a warm, lyrical timbre, with a penchant for the dramatic coloratura range. The size and the characteristic warm tone of her voice make her, except for the lyrical repertoire, suitable for light mezzo-parts, and dramatic soprano parts, which need to be either shunned the coloratura.

Besieds her singing career, Esther Putter is very active as a singing teacher. She has a thriving private practice at home and is a regular guest as vocal coach with choirs from very different levels.

Since 2006, Esther Putter has developed in a completely different aspect of the voice, namely the operation of voice on the physical, emotional, mental and social / spiritual aspects. Training and development in this work, named the Pansori Living Sound, takes place under the direction of, and in close cooperation with Yvonne de Bruijn.
