The Canadian guitar player, composer, producer, arranger and tenor singer, Cameron Rasmussen, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a Degree in Performance, and Contemporary Writing and Production.
Cameron Rasmussen founded the Boston based Prog Metal/Funk Fusion band “Sound Struggle’ (September 2012). Their debut album was written and arranged solely by Cameron, and the band continues to put out albums that fuze Jazz and Metal together. He has accompanied a number of professional Musical Theater productions as the guitar player before he was 18 including Godspell, and Spring Awakening.
Cameron Rasmussen’s major achievements to date include playing solo guitar at the Canadian National Anthem for several thousand people at a national hockey game, he has performed for the Lieutenant Governor of Canada, and he has also performed in Rick Waycheskos funk band, formerly one of the trumpet players for Tower Of Power.
When Cameron Rasmussen is not writing or performing with sound struggle or on his own, he can be found writing cues for Tangent Music, or currently playing with the Boston Based wedding band “Groovin’ You”.
Cameron Rasmussen joined the First Lutheran Church of Boston when he first came to Berklee (September 2013). He has since played acoustic guitar for their Brazilian services, played electric guitar for a Cantata written by Bálint Karosi, and he has sung in the First Lutheran Church Choir under the direction of Bálint Karosi. He currently lives in New York City.
