Carla Schaap (Mezzo-soprano)

The Dutch mezzo-soprano, Carla Schaap, studied at VWO Chr. College stad en Lande te Huizen (Class of 1981); HBO logopedie & foniatrie in Nijmegen (Class of 1990); HAN Hogeschool Nijmegen; Conservatorium Hilversum; HBO Conservatorium Hilversum (Class of 1985 · classical guitar); HBO Conservatorium Arnhem/Utrecht (Class of 1999 · extraneus · classical singing).

Carla Schaap works as a professional free-lance singer and music teacher since 1999. She is a member of The Amsterdam Baroque Choir under the direction of Ton Koopman since 1999. She has also sung with the Groot Omroepkoor (Netherlands Radio Choir). She sings with the Dutch Opera Choir (De Nederlandse Opera) since 2009.
