Born: August 16, 1962 - Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

The German tenor, Tobias Schrader, was born in Halle (Saale), grew up in Berlin, where he attended the Spezialschule für Musik “Georg Friedrich Händel” ((a special school for music education)). He was a member of the Rundfunk-Kinderchor and later the Knabenchor Berlin, and began an intensive musical education until graduation. After the army service, he studied electrical engineering for two years, before he began his singing studies at the Musikhochschule "Carl-Maria von Weber" in Dresden, where he obtained a tenor diploma. He also attended various master-classes.
