Ulfried Staber (Bass)

Born: 1976 - Fohnsdorf/ Stmk, Austria

The Austrian bass, Ulfried Staber, received his first musical lessons (violin and piano) at the Musikschule Fohnsdorf. Since 1995 he studied at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz: music education and singing (with Elisabet Batrice, since 2000 with Martin Klietmann). In June 2002 he passed the teaching proficiency examination with excellent success.

Ulfried Staber is a member of various ensembles (a piu voci, cantus, smooth, etc.). He has appeared in in numerous festivals (Styriarte, Intro-Graz-Spection, Psalm 2003, Mucsical Celebrations at S. Rocco / Venice, etc.). He has also appeared as concert soloist in Austria, Italy and Germany: Mozart/Johann Joseph Fux's Requiem, (with Wiener Bachsolisten) Heinrich Schütz's Musikalische Exequien, J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and cantatas, M.A. Chapentier's Te Deum; He has taught singing at numerous workshops and singing weeks in Austria.
