Othmar Sturm (Baritone, Choral Conductor)

Born: Salzburg, Austria

The Austrian baritone and choral conductor, Othmar Sturm, was born in Salzburg and studied in Basel.

Othmar Sturm made music with the Basler Madrigalisten (Director: Fritz Näf) and other ensembles and conducted next Widen AG (neu) den Gemischten Chor Wiinznau SO and the Männerchor Meltingen SO (since January 2012). He also gives private voice lessons. In 2008 he was appointed director of the Männerchor Widen, succeeding Bernardo Breganzon. He wanted to build a wide-ranging program, a good mix of hits and classic men's choral literature. He sang as a baritone in the Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen (Director: Rudolf Lutz; 2006-2007). He now lives in Basel, Switzerland.
