The English tenor, Paul Thompson, was a choral scholar at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge graduating with First Class Honours in Music in June 1997. With the choir he toured Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Spain and the USA, made regular radio broadcasts and recorded four CDís. He studied English with David Lowe.
Paul Thompson is currently a Lay Clerk at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. His solo repertoire extends from the Baroque to the present day.
Recent performances include J.S. Bachís St John Passion (BWV 245) and St Matthew Passion (BWV 244), George Frideric Handelís Foundling Hospital Anthem, Mozartís Requiem, Rossiniís Petite Messe Solennelle and Arvo Pärtís Litanies of St John Chrysostom.
