The French soprano cellist and pianist, Sophie Tran-Ky, began studying cello and music training at the age of 6 and obtained the certificate of completion of musical training at the Conservatoire de Toulouse. Then, after a few years of piano, she began lyrical singing. She then joined the Conservatoire du Tarn in lyrical singing in October 2010 and it was from that moment that she began to concentrate fully on this art. She also studied Musicology at Mirail and obtained a Master 1 research section in Current Music: Nightwish and the voice of Tarja Turunen. The realization of the symphonic metal.
Sophie Tran-Ky has performed in several formations of various styles: French songs (Cordes et Âmes, Florilège autour de Jean Ferrat, covers of Anne Sylvestre), lyric duets (Bavardage de Notes, la Clef des Songes), and metal (Thelya, Hybrid Harmony and Simeria). Today, she devotes herself to lyrical singing and brings to life her pianistic compositions.
