Joris Verschueren (Counter-tenor)

Born: Belgium

The Belgian counter-tenor, Joris Verschueren, studied piano at the Music Academy of Buggenhout. He obtained his Bachelor of Education degree in Music and technological education from Hogeschool Gent (2003-2006); and his Master of Arts degree in Music from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels (2007-2012).

Joris Verschueren is active as a counter-tenor singers with various ensembles. Since May 2007, he works as ICT coordinator at Municipal Academy for Music, Drama and Dance. Since October 2009, he is Musical Director of Camerata Productions. He is also Social Welfare councilor.
