La Voce Strumentale (Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 2011

La Voce Strumentale (= LVS) was founded in 2011 by the artistic director Dmitry Sinkovsky as a period instruments ensemble bringing together musicians from Europe and Russia. LVS is focusing on the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries. It has absolutely unique and remarkable string group involving winners of various international competitions, and open absolutely new horizons for technical and sound possibilities on gut srtings.

LVS is a regular guest at the most of important music venues in Moscow including Bolshoy Theater, State Philarmony, and start to appear in Europe already performing concerts in Holland, Spain and Finland. During the last seasons the ensemble not only have played lots of popular Baroque instrumental hits but also was focused on rarely performed music including serenatas and cantatas written by: L. Leo, Alessandro Scarlatti, Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel and A. Caldara. In the following season LVS for th first time will appear in the stage production. It is going to be an oratory "Il Trionfo del Tempo" by G.F. Handel. Among the soloists regulary working with LVS are Julia Lezhneva, Kristina Mhitarian, Luca Pianca, Jana Ivanilova, Margret Koell.

Since 2014 LVS is starting collaboration with French label Naive classic and in the autumn releasing their first A. Vivaldi CD.
