The Polish soprano and music pedagoigue, Marta Wróblewska, graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Białystok, majoring in Education through Music in class of conducting of Professor Violetta Bielecka (2000) and Vocal Studies in class of solo singing of Professor Cezary Szyfman (2009). She completed both majors with honours. In 2012 she obtained a doctoral title in musical art, artistic discipline of vocal studies. In 2005 she was awarded with the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw Rector’s Cup as a winner of the 1st place at the 6th Moniuszko Competition called “The Evening Song”.
Marta Wróblewska pursues a vivid activity as a soloist. She has given concerts in Poland and abroad (Germany, Belgium, Spain, Andorra). She has performed along such artists as: Kevin Kenner, Andrew Parrott, Vincent Dumestre and Simon Standage. On her artistic score card she also has performances of more than 50 cantata and oratorio pieces, songs and opera parts.
For many years, as a soloist and chamber singer, Marta Wróblewska has been connected with ensembles specializing in early music performance, i.e.: Concerto Polacco, Ars Nova, Subtilior Ensemble, Diletto, Ensemble Quattro Voce, and “Podlasie” Camerata. She collaborates with: Bornus Consort, Capella Cracoviensis and Il Tempo. Since 1999 she has co-created the Vocal Octet Gaudium.
In 1998, Marta Wróblewska recorded a programme for the Białystok TV entitled “Moja Muzyka” [My Music]. Many of her concerts were recorded by Polish radio broadcasting stations. On her score card she also has CD recordings, which were many times nominated for the “Fryderyk”: Award, e.g. S. Moryto’s Legnica Mass, music from the Jasna Góra Collections, pieces by Z. Stojowski - Cantata entitled A Prayer for Poland (awarded by the British magazine Gramophone in 2009). The album "Kurpie Songs - Szymanowski, Górecki, Moryto", recorded by the Podlasie Opera Choir and Philharmonic, on which she performs solo parts, won the “Fryderyk 2009” Award in the category “Phonographic debut of the year”.
Currently Marta Wróblewska is Assistant Professor at her parent Department at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (FCUM). |
