History & Mission: |
Festival Bachovej hudby Bach Tribute is a Bach Music Festival organized by the civic association Ars é vitae. The Festival iks named after one of the most important composers of Baroque music - J.S. Bach. His most frequently performed and perfect music gives the audience a unique artistic experiences.
The festival takes place in the in a former mining town Banská Štiavnica (German: Schemnitz), which has a rich in cultural heritage. The Bach music sounds particularly outstanding in the cherry premises of Kostola Nanebovzatia Panny Márie a (Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary) and Kostola Sv. Kataríny Alexandrijskej.
The aim of the festival is offering a wide selection of the Bach music interpreted at a high level by the enthusiastic players who just run in their repertoire Bach works that can spare no concert or competition.
The festival Bach Tribute brings also a new perspective on J.S. Bach's composition, its beauty emphasize even more and put the concert-goers in the spectacular atmosphere. |
