History & Mission:

The ensemble I Buoni Antichi performs in varying combinations of programmes from ancient to modern music. The key tasks include performing 10 Bach Cantatas per year at the Sacramentskerk in Breda and the Gertrudiskerk in Utrecht. In addition, the implementation of the established tradition on Good Friday Tenebrae concert at the acramentskerk..

The history of the vocal ensemble i buoni Antichi began in the summer of 1995, when a 13 Dutch and English singers performed and recorded a programme of Franco-Flemish Renaissance polyphony. i buoni Antichi working in various line: depending on the musical program, the composition was determined. The musical direction is in the hands of the composer and conductor Coen Vermeeren Vermeeren and Guido Groenland. The vocal ensemble, the Collegium Vocale, was added in autumn 2000 the Collegium Instrumentale.
