History & Mission:

The Bach Cantata Series at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellington, presents Lutheran cantatas (primarily by Bach) in a liturgical setting. The Bach Cantatas are performed as part of a Lutheran Vespers liturgy at 5.00pm on the Saturday before the Sunday of the cantata appointment. In 2012 the music is led by the newly formed Ensemble Abendmusik, directed by Richard Apperley.
