Ivan Cherlitsi (Composer, Arranger)

Born: 1799 - Russia
Died: 1865 - Russia ?

Ivan Cherlitski was a Russian composer, organist and pianist, who lived in St. Petersburg. In 1844-1845 he published in St. Petersburg piano transcriptions of Bach's works. According to Sorokin, Cherlitski was most probably the first Russian to transcribe Bach's works.
