Andreas Christoph Duve (Kantor)

Born: baptised July 30, 1676 - Brunswick, Lower Saxony, Germany
Died: buried November 5, 1749 - Brunswick, Lower Saxony, Germany

Andreas Christoph was a German Kantor. He was the son of a pastor at the Aegidienkirche in Brunswick and was appointed Kantor at the Martinikirche, Brunswick. He was one of the unsuccessful candidates for the post of Thomaskantor in Leipzig in 1722, performing his test cantata in the Nikolaikirche on November 29, (the 1st Sunday in Advent). In the older Bach literature he is named as Tufen.
