Nikolaus Zölner (Thomaskantor)

Born: ?? - Breslau
Died: August 13, 1516 - Leipzig, Saxony, Germany

Nikolaus Zölner [Zeler, Zceler, Celer, Zolner], was injured on the Thomas Day (December 21), 1494 with many other boy singers, as during the Vespers - where the pupils where the pupils had on the name day of the saint monastery to sing a Festmagnifikat - the singing choir (gallery) collapsed. Already in the first half of the 15th century but appears next to this rector to be Succentor. as during Vespers - Already in the first half of the 15th century but appears next to this rector to be Succentor. Both had many Votivmusiken to share in the choral songs, while the students sang partly figural. Zöelner was likes art. and theologiae baccalaureus formatus, rector of the school in 1494 and for the winter term 1498/9 rector of the University of, late minister (pastor) at St. Nicolai.
