Song for Sophia

Prelude (Mvt. 1) from Partita for solo violin No. 3 in E major, BWV 1006, arranged for Jazz trio [4:26 / 4:31]
Some minor changes were made including a pedal E on string 1 rather than A on string 5 from bar 63 as string 5 sounds too thick. Also the guitar was transposed up an octave at bar 71 which takes it closer to the violin register and again to keep it from sounding too thick. Apart from this, the guitar sticks to the violin score but bass and drums can add their own touches.

PD3 (Pete Downes Trio)

Pete Downes (Electric & Acoustic Guitar) [Cube 20x was used for guitar on the 'Tube Drive' setting with gain at 10 o'clock]; Andy Coe: (Acoustic & Electric Bass); Tim Bruce: (Drums)
