Komm, Jesu, Komm!
Portuguese Translation
Motet BWV 229 - Venha, Jesus, Venha

Coro I/II: S A T B

1

Komm, Jesu, komm,
Mein Leib ist müde,
Die Kraft verschwindt je mehr und mehr,
Ich sehne mich
Nach deinem Friede;
Der saure Weg wird mir zu schwer!
Komm, ich will mich dir ergeben;
Du bist der rechte Weg, die Wahrheit und das Leben.

Venha, Jesus, Venha
Meu corpo está cansado,
o poder desaparece mais e mais,
eu agora anseio
por tua paz;
o caminho pedregoso me será pesado!
Venha, eu quero me entregar a ti.
Tu és o caminho correto, a verdade e a vida.

Coro I/II: S A T B

2

Drum schließ ich mich in deine Hände
Und sage, Welt, zu guter Nacht!
Eilt gleich mein Lebenslauf zu Ende,
Ist doch der Geist wohl angebracht.
Er soll bei seinem Schöpfer schweben,
Weil Jesus ist und bleibt
Der wahre Weg zum Leben.

Pois eu me confio em tuas mãos
e digo ao mundo Boa Noite!
apresse logo o fim de minha vida,
minha alma já está bem preparada.
Ela deve ao lado do seu criador flutuar,
porque Jesus é e permanece sendo sempre
o verdadeiro caminho para a vida.
