English Translation

1

Selig! Wer an Jesum denkt,
der für uns am Kreuz gestorben,
der das Leben uns geschenkt,
der uns seine Gnad erworben.
Ach! ihr Menschen, denket dran,
ach! gedenket,
was Gott hat für euch getan.

To be added

2

O wie groß ist seine Huld!
O wie hat er uns begnadet!
Dass sein liebstes Kind die Schuld
Unsrer Sünden auch sich ladet.
Ach! ihr Menschen, denket dran,
ach! gedenket,
was Gott hat für euch getan.

3

Nun, so lang in dieser Zeit
ich auf Erden werde leben,
soll dein Tod, dein Schmerz und Leib
stets für meinen Augen schweben.
Ich gedenke stets daran,
ich gedenke,
was du hast für mich getan.
