Introducing myself

I am music librarian at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Montréal (Québec, Canada) and highly active in promoting classical music through personal projects such as giving classes and lectures, writing reviews of cds and books on my blog, presenting cds and books at the Mardis classiques of the Association Montréalaise des Audiophiles (A.M.A.) of which I am honorary member, organizing classical music listening evenings at home. I will retire soon from the CBC but not at all from music, quite on the contrary, I intend to be more active than before.

I joined this mailing list because my interest in Bach's sacred cantatas has been growing since several years ago. I acquired the complete collection of 55 cds by Masaaki Suzuki and Bach Collegium Japan (Bis label) and a great reference book by Bach expert Gilles Cantagrel, published by Fayard. I gave a lecture about Bach's sacred cantatas on several occasions but I am now preparing a series of classes for autumn 2014.
