Camile Aguilera (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: 1996 - Copiapó, Atacama, Chile

The Chilean Mezzo-soprano, Camila Aguilera Yáñez, studied at Liceo de Musica de Copiapo (2011-2015); then Superior Interpretation with Mention Singing at Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Chile (2016-2020). At Ópera Nacional de Chile she has appeared as Bersi in Giordano's Andrea Chénier (2021); Rosette in Massenet's Manon (2022); Mercédès in Georges Bizet's Carmen (2023); Un paggio in Verdi's Rigoletto (2023); Modestina in Rossini's Il viaggio a Reims (2023); Zweite Dame in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. In concert she sang with Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Copiapó in concert of J.S. Bach and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (2023) and has taken part as a soloists and/or ensemble member in the cantata series Bach Santiago (2023-2024). She currently lives in Santiago, Chile. She was accepted to the Opernstudio der Volksoper Wien for the 2024-2026 seasons.
